A raging fire broke out about 2:30 p.m. at a home located near Gollihar and Nicholson.
When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy plumes of smoke coming from the back of the house.
A 32-year-old mother along with her two children was able to get out of the home and run to a neighbors’ house.
“She ran to my house,” the neighbor said. “The back was on fire. Knowing there’s nothing she could do about it.”
There is no word on what sparked the fire.
The Red Cross was called out to assist the family.
