A financial dispute between CVS Health and Walmart will affect millions of Americans.
Walmart Pharmacies announced today that they are pulling out of the CVS Caremark Network on April 30.
CVS says Walmart was asking for reimbursements that would result in higher costs for its clients and customers.
The move affects Walmart customers with CVS Caremark pharmacy coverage through employer-sponsored insurance and state Medicaid managed-care plans. It does not affect Medicare beneficiaries. And it also does not affect pharmacies at Sam’s Club stores.
