A developer is planning to tear down and rebuild one of the West Side’s oldest apartment complexes.
The location where the Casa De Manana Apartments on Old Brownsville Road currently stand is planned for a new and improved living complex.
On Tuesday, the developer will ask the City Council to pass a resolution supporting the project.
The resolution is needed so the developer can then apply for housing tax credits from the state in March.
And if all goes as planned, 99 units eventually will be rebuilt on the property.
