After his Oval Office speech tonight, President Donald Trump is expected to meet with border officials in South Texas later this week.
The White House has not released other details about President Trump’s itinerary.
In his words, the President’s goal is to meet with those on the front lines of the national security and humanitarian crisis.
We also know that construction on the border wall that was approved in a bill passed by Congress last year is set to begin in February.
Local leaders have already started preparing for the President’s visit, once he announced a trip to the southern border.
So those plans will continue.
