It’s a fresh start for Coach Willis Wilson and his Texas A&M-Corpus Christi basketball team tonight.
The Islanders kick off their Southland Conference season at 7 p.m. tonight against Central Arkansas at the American Bank Center. You can follow all the action at KDF-TV and streaming live on KRISTV.com.
A&M-Corpus Christi (5-8) has lost its last three games. The Islanders’ most recent defeat was a 69-59 loss at Oklahoma State on Dec. 29. They hope that some of the positives from that game continue against the Bears (5-8), who have won only once away from home this season in nine previous road games.
It will be the 15th meeting in the series between the Islanders and the Bears in a series dating to 2007. A&M-Corpus Christi holds a 12-2 lead in the series, although Central Arkansas’ home victory last December snapped a six-game winning streak by the Islanders.
