When 17-year-old Jeremiah Baldwin started taking college classes his freshman year of high school, he says he was little afraid of the idea.

However, Baldwin says after he adjusted to the coursework he began to enjoy the challenge.

Baldwin is set to take the stage, cap and gown ready for the 2018 Del Mar College Commencement later today.

He’ll be graduating from Del Mar College with his associate’s degree in liberal arts before he even grabs his high school diploma.

Baldwin is enrolled in the university preparatory high school program at Flour Bluff High School. This program allowed him to take classes at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Del Mar College.

Once he is finished with high school, he plans to start classes at the University of Texas in Austin to study government. He will begin classes at The University of Texas with 93 college credits.

Baldwin says he could not have come this far without the support of his family.
