A fisherman was rushed to the hospital after getting stranded in Oso Bay.
The man’s boat broke down just before 10 a.m. Monday and he couldn’t swim back. He also didn’t have a life preserver.
The man’s brother called 911. Moments later, the Nueces County Emergency Service District 2 launched a rescue boat and brought the stranded fisherman back to shore.
The stranded man had symptoms of hypothermia, leading to treatment at Bay Area Medical Center.
