Oprah Winfrey is attempting to sway the voting public in a last-minute campaign blitz for her friend Stacey Abrams in the Georgia race for governor.

Abrams is attempting to make history as she’s running to become Georgia’s first woman of color in the position as governor. She’s in a tight race with Republican Brian Kemp, the state’s current Secretary of State.

Oprah has made campaign speech late in the election. She’s even taken to knocking on doors of voters in hotly contested areas of the election as seen in this video.

She sent this message out on Instagram to her 15 million followers.

Winfrey’s move has been criticized by Vice President Mike Pence, who has brought his elective clout to the area in recent days.

“I’ve got a message for all of Stacey Abrams’s liberal Hollywood friends: This ain’t Hollywood, this is Georgia, and Georgia wants a governor that’s going to put Georgia values and Georgia first,” Pence said. “And Brian Kemp is going to do just that.”

Donald Trump visited Georgia on Sunday to campaign in Macon for Kemp. Former president Barack Obama appeared for Abrams earlier in the weekend.

It will be interesting to see who “Trumps” who in this race, which is considered a toss-up as Election Day approaches.

What do you think of the starpower coming to the state for this critical election?
