George Clooney gives up prized Harley to benefit veterans

George Clooney has a well-deserved reputation as being one of the good people in Hollywood.

The actor proved it again recently when he have up one of his prized Harleys to benefit Homes For Our Troops.

The organization tells TMZ.com that Clooney and good friend Jake Tapper have been planning the motorcycle donation for a month. The iconic ride will be auctioned off to raise funds to build homes for severely injured vets.

Clooney also is fulfilling wishes of his wife, Amal, who has been hounding him to get of the motorbikes for good after he was injured in a July crash in Italy.

Reports indicate Clooney reportedly went flying 20 feet into the air after the accident but remarkably broke no bones.

His motorcycle, a limited edition 2017 FLHTX, has a retail cost of about $28,000. The winner will get to pick up the motorcycle in Los Angeles, as well as getting it autographed by Clooney.
