Get ready to get your Greek on this weekend — at least in a munching sense.

The 55th annual Greek Festival will bring a taste of Greek culture through food and music this weekend to the Coastal Bend.

The festival kicks off from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 502 S. Chaparral St.

Traditional and delicious Greek dishes and pastries, beer and wine will be available. Also featured will be 20 vendors, church tours, an area for children and of course music and dancing throughout the weekend.

Events will continue from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission will be free with varying costs for the foods.

Among those available will be dolmades, gyro sandwiches, baklava, pastitsio, souvlaki, baklava cheesecake, ketaifi and koularia.

The Hellenic Dancers of St. Nicolas and a DJ will play with popular music.
