The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority will be offering complimentary services to the Coastal Bend community Saturday for the free festivities in honor of the holiday, Dia de los Muertos.
The CCRTA will be transporting interested individuals from either the Nueces County Court House (along Lipan Street) or Corpus Christi City Hall (along Staples Street) to the street festival for the Day of the Dead festivities.
Here’s the schedule for free transportation:
- Nueces County Court House & Corpus Christi City Hall – Saturday from 2 p.m. until conclusion of the event.
Each of the two locations will have free parking, special pick-up designations, RTA personnel, and on-site security. There’ll be pick-ups from each location every 20 minutes.
The Dia de los Muertos Street Festival includes more than 16 bands, 220 volunteers, and more than 100 vendors.
The festival is organized by K-Space Contemporary and Axis Tattoo. The event is funded by Hotel Occupancy Tax fund by the City of Corpus Christi through the Arts & Cultural Commission, with any additional funding provided by the National Endowment for the Arts.
