Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital has unveiled three new radiology suites.
The state of the art facilities make it possible to replace open surgery with minimally invasive treatments.
It also expands the hospital’s capacity to treat certain types of tumors.
“The application and the software in this unit can provide tracing software that allows us to get tumors right out,” said Dr. Anthony Hein, a radiology affiliated with the hospital. “To basically in the liver in particular, to target therapies right into those tumor-bearing areas in a much more close and selective fashion than you could say 10 years ago.”
The new radiology suites can also be used in trauma cases.
