AGUA DULCE – Law enforcement is on the scene of a crash between a train and a passenger car in Agua Dulce.
The accident happened Friday morning on FM 70 and 2nd street. Photos from the scene show a silver passenger car on its side up against a train.
The car was traveling north on FM 70 when the driver tried to disregard the railroad crossing signal, according to highway patrol on scene. The driver went around the barriers and was hit by the train. The car was dragged more than a quarter of a mile before coming to a rest, law enforcement on scene said.
The woman driver was extracted from the vehicle by first responders with injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The extent of her injuries are unknown.
