Corpus Christi Police yesterday arrested two women for allegedly stealing mail from local mailboxes.

According to CCPD, an anonymous caller reported two women in a gray Cadillac SUV going mailbox to mailbox in the Sacky Park neighborhood stealing mail.

Officers responded to the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Officers followed up on a possible license plate of the suspect vehicle and were able to locate it and the alleged offenders at a home in the 4600 block of Cheryl Drive.

Police say the suspects were in possession of mail from more than 20 people from 15 different addresses.

CCPD has identified the suspects as 51-year-old Lillian Martinez Patlan and 35-year-old Denise Nicole Livas. The women told police they were mother and daughter.

According to police, Patlan and Livas were arrested and booked for Fraudulent Use/Possession of Identifying Information, a second-degree felony.
