In response to recent heat advisories, Nueces County has established “cooling centers,” offering residents an opportunity to beat the heat.According to Nueces County, the following centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:Banquete Community Center, 4359 4th Street, Highway 44, BanqueteHilltop Community Center, 11425 Leopard Street, Corpus ChristiDavid Berlanga Community Center, 1513 2nd Street, Agua DulceDriscoll Community Center, 200 East 6th Street, DriscollBishop Community Center, 102 West Joyce, BishopRobstown Community Center, 415 Mainer Road, RobstownThe county will also be utilizing libraries as cooling centers at the following times and locations:Keach Family Library, 1000 Terry Shamsie Boulevard, Robstown, (Monday-Thursday 10 a. m. to 8 p.m., Friday-Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)Bishop Library, 115 Ash Street, Bishop (Monday-Thursday 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.)
