Man convicted of killing disabled veteran sentenced to 15 years

The man recently convicted in the killing of a local, disabled veteran was sentenced to 15 year in prison today.

Aldo Naranjo was found guilty of manslaughter on Friday for the shooting death of Joel Cunha.

Cunha’s mother and sister were in the courtroom today to speak to Naranjo about the impact of his actions.

According to evidence presented in the trial, the two men got into an altercation in January, after Naranjo made inappropriate comments toward Cunha’s daughter.

Naranjo then followed Cunha home and shot him.
