The offices of the 27th Congressional District are now reopened, with a new congressman to represent the people of the district.

Congressman Michael Cloud opened in offices in Victoria this morning. They had been closed since the June 30 special election that send Rep. Cloud to Congress during the past week.

Rep. Cloud says it is his priority to hear from the residents of the district.

"I’ve been in Washington this past week working for our district’s interests, but my office had been especially focused on reopening our district officers as quickly as possible so we can begin meeting needs here at home," Rep. Cloud said.

The offices are now fully staffed and prepared to welcome residents to provide input and request services form the Congressman’s office.

Rep. Cloud encourages all residents who had open cases left unresolved when former Rep. Blake Farenthold’s office closed to contact the office to reopen the case. Due to privacy laws, cases to not transfer from on representative’s office to the other.
