Family members have identified the victim killed in an early morning accident.
Relatives say 24-year-old Justina Gravagne of Corpus Christi died Tuesday morning.
Officers say she was hit by a car while trying to cross SPID near Rodd Field Road on foot. The accident happened just after 5:00 a.m. on the eastbound side of SPID.
Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is not expected to be charged.
The left and center lanes of SPID at Rodd Field Rd. were closed for a couple of hours for a CCPD investigation.
