A group of patriotic citizens came together today at the Nueces County Courthouse to do a special reading from the Declaration of Independence.
The reading was followed by a singing of the Preamble to the Constitution in the style of “Schoolhouse Rock.”
Those who took part in today’s reading say it’s held to honor the founding documents of our nation, especially on Independence Day.
Participants also took turns reading from the bill of Rights.
