We now know the identity of the man who died after he crashed his car this weekend.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 24-year-old Christopher Villegas from Corpus Christi.
Police say on Saturday morning, Villegas’ car hit a pickup truck on I-37 at the Crosstown flyover. The car hit the guardrail and then flew off the highway.
Police are looking into what caused the crash but they believe speed may have been a factor.
