Consider this your official acceptance letter into the world of magic, kids. Cure that summer boredom and step into an arena of illusions with a camp that will leave area youth spellbound.

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department is offering South Texas Magic Camp this year. Magic Camp will teach kids ages 8-12 the tricks of the trade, in true magician style. Val Dino, illusionist and magician with 18 years of experience, will share his insight into the world of illusions and give kids the tools needed to wow friends and family.

The camp will run on Wednesdays and Fridays, July 6 – August 3 from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Joe Garza Recreation Center, located at 3204 Highland Avenue.

Parents can register future magicians online now through July 5 for $99 per child at www.ccparkandrec.com. A $30 Magic Kit, which contains magic props, top-secret file folders, bonus online videos and more, is required and not included in the camp fee. On-site registration will also be available until the first camp day, July 6, at the Joe Garza Recreation Center on Monday-Friday from 4 – 7 p.m.

Magic Camp graduates will receive their own magic wand and certificate of completion.
