Harbor Bridge Project work bringing nightly lane closures to I-37

Ongoing construction on the Harbor Bridge Project will bring nightly lane closures to Interstate 37 beginning tonight.

Starting at 9 p.m. and running until 6 a.m., I-37 between Buffalo and Mexico Street will be closed nightly From June 27 to June 29.

Coordinators for the project say the intermittent closures will affect the north and south bound lanes of the interstate, but frontage roads will remain open.

The lane closures are necessary to complete the reconstruction of the Staples Street Bridge, coordinators said.

Motorists are advised to use caution or find alternate routes if traveling in the area.
