The man officers say robbed a bank last Friday has been found dead in Pleasanton, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

62-year-old Marcus Allen Brown had an outstanding warrant for the bank robbery that happened last Friday afternoon, June 22, at the Gulf Coast Federal Credit Union in the 2600 block of Rodd Field Road.

Officers say Brown got away with an unknown amount of cash and left behind a suspicious item- a bag that bomb squad members later deemed not to be a threat.

There is no word on the circumstances surrounding Brown’s death and no other information is being released at this time as the case is still an open investigation.
