A voluntary recall has been issued for certain H-E-B and Hill Country Fare bread and buns due to an "unfavorable smell and flavor."

H-E-B made the announcement Saturday, June 23, after "an unbalance in yeast" from a supplier. The issue was said to pose no health risk but resulted in a possible unfavorable smell and flavor.

Affected products were sent to stores in Texas, and Mexico and have now been pulled from shelves. H-E-B said they are working to get fresh product back in stores as soon as possible.

The recall concerns products with a "best by" date between June 26 and July 2, including a variety of bread products.
