A planned screening of "The Emoji Movie" at the city’s Bay Jammin’ event has been canceled due to severe weather in Corpus Christi.
Officials with Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department broke the news in a press release on Thursday.
Originally, the Bay Jammin Movie event was scheduled to show "The Emoji Movie" on Friday, June 22. However, due to saturated park grounds and other impacts from the week’s severe weather, the event has been canceled.
The Bay Jammin series continues next week with "Despicable Me 3" and will continue through the summer.
