Though customers at Sharpshooter Gun Store & Range are used to gunshots in the building, Tuesday afternoon was a whole different circumstance.
Corpus Christi Police were called to the gun range located at the 5500 block of South Staples around 1:00 p.m.
Someone reported a person was shot.
Officers arrived to find a 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital, but police say he died.
Detectives are working the case, but at this time, it doesn’t appear like any foul play was involved.
Later in the evening, the business released a statement on social media.
