Recent rains have left a local business in need of some major repairs.
Just before 6 a.m. today, an employee at B&T Rents on Staples Street discovered that last night’s rain caused the building’s roof to cave in.
B&T’s owner, Tim Lyons, says the roof just couldn’t handle the amount a rainfall.
“It must have been a tremendous amount of water up on top of that roof to cause that to cave in the way it has,” Lyons said.
Fortunately, Lyons said the showroom was the only area that was affected by the collapse and the rest of the business is still open.
