‘A World For Children’ is a foster agency that has helped over 26,000 children throughout Texas. In the Corpus Christi area, there are currently 50 children under the care of A World For Children, and there are 31 foster homes in the Coastal Bend area.
Krystal Quiroga, Region Director, says "we really need fosters right now. In 2017 alone, just with our agency, A world For Children, we turned away 13-hundred kids. So, there is definitely a need for families whether it be to foster or just to help us take care of these children, I think I receive about anywhere from 5 to 10 placement requests a day."
This Saturday, is the 1st Annual Zumba Master Class Fundraiser, it will be held at First Baptist Church at 3115 Ocean Dr. from 10 am- 12 pm. There will be a $10 Donation to enter the Zumba Class. The fundraiser will include raffles, prizes and a bake sale.
All donations from this fundraiser will go straight to the Corpus Christi region for A World For Children, in providing trips to Fiesta Texas, a week-long summer camp, school supplies for the next school year and presents during Christmas.
