Family members of a local doctor who was found unconscious in the waters off of Padre Island have given an update on his condition.
Alonso Mackrizz posted an updated to Facebook that his dad, Dr. Mackrizz, is in stable condition but is still in a coma.
Dr. Luis Mackrizz was pulled from the surf at J.P Luby beach just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday near the Zahn Road entrance.
We’re told a surfer spotted Mackrizz and called 911. Macrizz is an avid surfer and owns Costa Sur Wok and Ceviche Bar on the Island.
