The Nueces County Health Department is now confirming the test results came back of a possible Hantavirus incident inside a Flour Bluff home.
Health experts investigate a possible case of Hantavirus
First responders were called out in May to a medical call at a home in the 500 block of Claride Street off of Waldron Road.
A spokesperson for the Nueces County Health Department says there are no confirmed cases of Hantavirus in Nueces County.
The Hantavirus is spread through the urine and droppings of mice, rats, and other rodents.
It can cause a deadly lung disease and there have been 45 confirmed Hantavirus cases here in Texas since January 2017.
