Rescue crews were called out to a hit and run on the southbound side of the Nueces Bay Causeway earlier today.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. the driver of a car headed south hit an SUV that was parked on the median of Highway 181, just south of Portland.
According to police, no one was in the SUV when it was hit, and the driver of the car got into another vehicle and left the scene.
No one was hurt in the accident, and police are looking for the car’s driver. No description of the driver or the vehicle that was used to leave the scene are currently available.
