Corpus Christi Firefighters were called out to a home on fire in Annaville this afternoon.
The call came in just before 2:30 pm for a fire inside a trailer at the Christi Mobile Home Park.
Crews arrived at the scene to find a neighbor who had taken the efforts into his own hands.
When the first units got here, a neighbor was using a garden hose outside, spraying it through the window,” said CCFD Battalion Chief Robin McGill. “That probably helped in keeping the fire small, and it enabled us to get a faster knock down.”
No one was hurt, and firefighters were able to rescue three dogs that were inside the home.
Investigators are still trying to determine what started the blaze.
