H-E-B issues precautionary recall for ‘Ode to Olives’ product

A precautionary recall has been issued for an H-E-B branded olive product over concerns of glass contamination.

In a press release, H-E-B said it was voluntarily issuing an all-store precautionary recall for "H-E-B Ode to Olives Sliced Salad Olives" solid in 10-ounce glass jars with a "best by" date of Nov 3, 2019.

The grocer said the recall applied to all of its stores and was issued due to the possible presence of glass in the product.

H-E-B said no injuries were reported due to this incident, which was reported by customers to the company. All products related to the recall were sold in Texas and have been removed from store shelves.
