The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department’s Summer 2018 High School Varsity Basketball League is offering online registration now through May 30. Divisions are divided between boys and girls.
According to the city, only the first eight teams per division will be accepted, and each team is limited to 12 players. The season will run from June 4 through the week of June 28. Girls will play on Monday and Wednesday nights, and boys will play on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
The city says high school seniors who graduate in 2018 are not eligible to participate.
While this program provides structure and knowledge on the sport of basketball, it also promotes positive attitudes and the importance of adapting a lifestyle with recreational activities. Varsity league players will test their skills as they challenge opposing teams and learn the importance of working together.
