UPDATE: Police confirm a 32-year-old man is dead and this is a homicide investigation.

Corpus Christi police officers were called out to a home in the city’s southside for a shooting.

The incident occurred around 7:15 pm Monday night in a neighborhood near Breckenridge Park.

Police were called to a home in the 4400 block of Silver Hollow Drive.

Police have arrived at the scene and are investigating the circumstances of what led up to the shooting.

Senior Officer Travis Pace, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, says when officers arrived at the home, they found a 32-year-old man dead on arrival.

Officers say they detained a 30-year-old female and could be facing a murder charge, Officer Pace continued.
Investigators say they believe the shooting victim and the 30-year-old woman know each other, but Detectives will determine what the relationship was before the shooting.

This story is still developing, and we will provide updates when investigators complete a preliminary investigation.
