Border Patrol Agents in Falfurrias seized approximately 58 pounds of cocaine hidden in a vehicle in Saturday.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Agents were conducting routine immigration inspections when a K-9 alerted to the vehicle. Agents referred the BMW SUV to secondary inspection, and upon further investigation, discovered 25 bundles of cocaine.
CBP says the cocaine has an estimated value of more than $1.8 million.
The U.S. citizen driver and passenger were arrested and the case has been turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration, CBP said.
