The Buc Days Carnival opens tonight and kicks off 10 days of pirates taking over our city!

In addition to the more than 50 rides to get your adrenaline going, the carnival will feature a petting zoo, movie nights, games, live music and of course, a lot of fried food!

Tonight is dollar night at the carnival. Admission is $1 and all rides are $1. $20 wristbands can be bought at HEB stores. The price goes up to $30 at the gate.

Gates open at 5 p.m. At Water’s Edge Park in Downtown Corpus Christi. Mayor Joe McComb will walk the plank of the Red Dragon Pirate Ship at 6 p.m. Spectators can watch from the Seawall.
