Harbor Bridge Project coordinators say they will reopen sidewalks during the Buc Days Parade on May 5.

According to project coordinators, sidewalks within the work zone along Leopard Street between North Brownlee Boulevard and Antelope Street will be open temporarily to allow spectator to view the parade Saturday evening.

Camping will not be permitted in these areas.

Coordinators say that work areas near the sidewalk will remain closed, and that prohibited areas will be marked with orange barricade fencing and “No Trespassing” signs.

Harbor Bridge Project coordinators encourage parade spectators to obey warning signs and stay out of designated construction zones. Corpus Christi police will be patrolling the area and may issue citations to anyone trespassing within work areas.

If you’re not able to make it out to watch this year’s parade in person, KRIS 6 will be broadcasting the entire parade on air and online at KRISTV.com. Parade coverage begins at 7 p.m.
