Police called out to shooting, gunman still on the loose

Corpus Christi police were called out to a westside neighborhood after gunfire rings out.

Police were called out to a neighborhood near Columbia Street and West Point road around 7:30 pm Monday night.

Minutes later, police were called out for a man who was found shot near Greenwood and Tarlton Street.

Officers say someone shot him on West Point Road.

The victim told police he drove himself to a store near Greenwood and Tarlton Street. He is expected to make a full recovery.

Officers at the original scene of the shooting say bullets hit a house, a vehicle, and a tree.

As for a suspect, police have very little information right now. Investigators ask if you know anything about the shooter’s identity, to call Crimestoppers at 361-888-TIPS.
