The man accused of shooting and killing a disabled veteran will appear in court today.

Aldo Naranjo will be arraigned in the 214th later this morning.

He’s accused of shooting and killing 39-year old Joel Cunha in front of his 14-year old daughter.

The victim’s family says Cunha had a confrontation with Naranjo at a convenience store on Weber and Gollihar after he made an inappropriate comment to Cunha’s teenage daughter.

Police say Naranjo followed Cunha to Mistletoe Drive and shot him several times.

Cunha later died at a local hospital.

Naranjo is being held in the Nueces County Jail on a one million dollar bond.
