State Champions: Tuloso Midway High School’s One Act Play wins it all

The Tuloso Midway High School Theatre department are state champions. 

The department was the only area school to compete in the UIL One Act Play 5A Conference. The public is invited to welcome the young thespians back Thursday as they bring home several awards. 

Felicia Hinojosa was named Honorable Mention All Star Cast, Reyna Rodriguez was named All Star Cast and Rocky Ramirez received Best Actor for the sixth time, at all levels of competition. 

Rocky also received the prestigious Samuel French award which includes a $10,000 scholarship.

Over 21 students, three directors and a student teacher director have been working on the show, Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo, since the end of January.

Today at 2:30 p.m., the actors will be escorted back to Tuloso Midway High School. The route will take them down McKinzie Road and to Haven Drive, right in front of Tuloso Midway High School.
