APPD: Help us find suspected Aaryan brotherhood gang member

Aransas Pass Police are looking for a suspected Aryan Brotherhood gang member who is accused of failing to register as a sex offender and on a probation violation for sexually fondling a child.

Police say at 12:38 pm Tuesday afternoon,  officers were sent to a disturbance inside a vehicle near the Palms Apartments in Aransas Pass.

A female was being assaulted, and when officers arrived, the suspect fled in the car according to police.

Officers pursued, and the suspect crashed out in front of Peerless Cleaners on Harrison Blvd. 

The suspect, who is being identified as Aaron Cavallin, then fled on foot.

Officers exhausted an area-wide search for just over an hour, the search was called off, and police say Cavallin got away. 

In a statement released, police said," At this time, Cavallin, an Aryan Brotherhood gang member, is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender and a probation violation for sexually fondling a child. Additionally, officers are seeking two more warrants for Cavallin for evading arrest and felon in possession of a firearm. A third warrant for assault causing injury may result but is still being investigated."
