Corpus Christi Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association is hosting their 2nd Annual Shoe Drive beginning today!
The Association hopes to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes by May 15th. All shoes collected will be donated to micro-entrepreneurs in developing companies, who repair the shoes and resell them to support their families and community.
The Association sells the donated shoes for a profit per pound and 100% of the proceeds help fund equipment for the police department.
You can donate shoes to the CCPD Training Academy off of Corona Dr., or the other numerous locations:
