A man wanted for the murders of three people in Corpus Christi was arrested earlier today in San Antonio.
Ismael Castillo, was wanted in connection to a double homicide on Balchuck Lane on April 2 that left Arturo and Miriam Lopez dead. He was also wanted in connection to a shooting last month on Coleman Street last month that killed 19-year-old Deandre Mathis.
Lone Star Fugitive Task Force Supervisor Carlos Alvarado says his team acted on a lead from the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force in Corpus Christi to track Castillo to a motel in San Antonio.
Alvarado says U.S. Marshals surrounded the motel and then called the room where Castillo was believed to be staying.
Castillo surrendered without incident, but Alvarado said Marshals recovered and assault rifle and one other weapon in the room.
