More than eight hundred Mariachi players gathered together to try to break a Guinness World Record.
They gathered over at the Robstown High School Gym Saturday afternoon and attempted to break the record between noon through 1:00 pm.
Organizers say several Mariachi bands across the state were invited to take part in the event.
The current Guinness World Record record is set at 692.
Organizers say 740 people signed up before Saturday’s event.
