In Corpus Christi, we’re paying 21 cents more in the month of April than we did in March.

Gas prices rose from $2.19 to $2.40.

There are several reasons for the hike.

One such is a seasonal rise.

The other is escalating tensions between the U.S. and Syria, as well as its ally Russia.

Russia is among the world’s largest crude oil producers.

Gas prices are expected to go up another 10 to 25 cents per gallon in the next few weeks, but we may see some relief in June.
