District Four Regent Guy Watts has submitted a letter of resignation from Del Mar College’s Board of Regents.
As a result of that letter, the Board of Regents has called a special session on Monday, April 16 at 5:00 p.m. In a public notice, the Board provided its meeting agenda.
That agenda lists a public discussion and "possible action" regarding the "Letter of Resignation" submitted by Watts. Thereafter, a closed session for "consultation with legal counsel" concerning "pending or contemplated litigation or claims, or a settlement offer," or "contemplated legal matters" is listed.
The public will also be offered a chance to voice their opinion following the closed session. The meeting will be held in the Isensee Board Room of DMC’s Harvin Student Center on the East Campus.
