Hurricane Harvey recovery is still underway, and people all across the country have stepped up to help. That includes Country music star George Strait.
Strait made a visit to Rockport back in September. Shortly before that visit, the country star held a fundraising concert in San Antonio with other performers, which raised more than $40 million dollars for storm relief.
What has happened to that money? Some people are concerned that people affected by Harvey in the Coastal Bend, like those who live in Rockport, are not seeing much of it.
Rockport’s Mayor C.J. Wax tells KRIS 6 News the funds are being distributed by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. He says a few weeks ago, the Rockport Center for the Arts got a $500,000 grant from that fund.
