One local refinery wants to make sure Halo-Flight is available when you need it.
On Monday afternoon, Flint Hills Resources presented the air ambulance service with $17,000. It also announced it will sponsor next month’s "Flight of Angels" Golf Tournament at Northshore Country Club in Portland. Proceeds from that tournament will benefit Halo-Flight.
During Monday’s news conference, Flint Hills Resource Public Affairs Regional Manager Andy Saenz said he used to work in law enforcement and knew the important role Halo-Flight plays in our community. "I know the sooner you can get the patients to the medical facilities, the better their chance of living, staying alive. So, it’s very important for a community like ours to have Halo-Flight available for us 365 days a year, 24 hours a day." Saenz added.
The 27th annual Flight of Angels Golf Tournament will be held Monday, May 7th.
