Memorial services will be held today for the teen killed in a hit and run.

Rai-Ane Garza was just sixteen years old, and a sophomore at King High School.

Rai-Ane’s mother says Rai-Ane loved school especially being a part of the choir.

A visitation will be held today from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel.

There will also be a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

There will be a viewing at 10:00 AM Wednesday, at the Believe Church.

Her burial will follow at Seaside Cemetery.

Rai-Ane’s parents says the outpouring of support from everyone is helping the family during this difficult time.

According to the Nueces County Medical Examiner’s office, Rai Ane Garza died after she was hit by a car while crossing the street at the intersection of Staples Street and Mustang Trail.

Another girl injured in the accident, 15-year-old King student Madicyn Knott, is currently at Spohn Shoreline hospital, and was recently moved from the ICU to a regular room.

Corpus Christi Police arrested 42-year-old Elton Wayne Holmes, Jr. shortly after the accident.

Holmes faces two counts of accident involving injury or death, and is expected to appear in court today.
